Choosing an Operating System for your newly built PC

Finally, to complete your new PC system, you will need to install an Operating System. This fundamental piece of software controls the hardware in your PC and presents you with an easy-to-use, graphical interface.

Buying the most recent version of your chosen Operating System is strongly advised as this will greatly simplify the setup/installation process and minimise the need for additional driver installations to support your new hardware.

Be aware though that each version of the Operating System will have its own set of standard requirements, which your new PC must meet or exceed for the Operating System to run efficiently.
